Six-yearly update

The MSFD (Marine Strategy Framework Directive) requires the EU Member States to review and update their monitoring programmes for marine waters every six years, calculated from the establishment period set out in the Directive.

The next update of the monitoring programme – the Marine Strategy for the Dutch Part of the North Sea, Part 2 – is scheduled for 15 October 2020. The amended text of the monitoring programme will subsequently be posted on this website and will replace the previous version so that the latest version can always be consulted.
